Using Context Assets to Guide AI Generation
When you give Rheos some of your existing brand photos as examples, the AI can create new images that match your visual style. This keeps all your content looking consistent.
What Are Reference Images?
Reference images (called context assets) are your own photos that show the AI the style you want. The AI looks at these examples and creates new images that fit the same look.
Good reference images:
Your best brand photography
Product photos you're already using
Previous posts that got good engagement
Photos that show your brand colors and style
Upload 5-10 of your best brand photos to Library before you start creating content. You can reuse these as references for all your AI-generated images.
Using Reference Images
When creating a new image in Studio:
Start your generation as usual
Look for the option to add context assets or reference images
Click to select images from your Library
Choose 2-3 photos that show the style you want
Describe what you want to create
Generate the image
The AI will create something new that matches the style of your reference photos.
What the AI Matches
When you provide reference images, the AI pays attention to:
Colors – The color palette in your photos
Lighting – Bright and airy, moody, natural light, etc.
Style – Clean and minimal, warm and cozy, bold and colorful
Mood – Professional, casual, energetic, calm
The new image will be different from your references but will match the overall look and feel.
Reference images guide the style, not the content. Your description still controls what's in the image.
Example: Product Launch Campaign
You're creating images for a product announcement:
Upload 3 of your best product photos to Library
Start creating a new image in Studio
Add those 3 photos as references
Describe what you want: "Product on a desk with office supplies"
Generate
The AI creates a new product image that matches the lighting, colors, and style of your reference photos.
How Many References to Use
1-2 images: Good for a clear, simple style direction
3-4 images: Best for most situations - shows your style without overwhelming the AI
5+ images: Only if you need to show a complex or varied style
Start with 2-3 references. This usually gives the best results.
Keeping a Consistent Look
For a whole campaign that looks cohesive:
Choose your 3 best brand photos
Use these same references for all campaign images
Describe different scenes, but keep the references the same
All generated images will share a similar visual style
When to Skip References
You don't always need reference images:
If you want the AI to create something completely different from your usual style
For quick test generations
If you haven't uploaded brand photos yet
Rheos uses your Identity settings (from onboarding) even without specific references.
Organizing Your Reference Library
Make reference images easy to find:
Create a Library folder called "Brand References" or similar
Upload your best brand photos there
Tag them so they're easy to search
Use these photos as references whenever you generate content
Once you find references that work well, keep using the same ones for all related content. This creates a consistent look across your posts.
Troubleshooting
Generated image doesn't match my references Make sure your references all have a similar style. If they look very different from each other, the AI gets confused.
Image looks exactly like my reference The AI shouldn't copy your references directly. Try describing what you want more specifically, or choose different references.
Can't find reference image option Look for "Context assets" or "Add reference" when creating an image. This might be in an expandable section.
